Carine Nadal joined the Gaia Foundation www.gaiafoundation.org in 2007 as Earth Jurisprudence Co-ordinator. She provides legal research and advocacy support to indigenous communities for the recognition of their Earth-centred practices, and has contributed to distilling and advocating Earth Jurisprudence principles including for publications, and presentations to universities and community groups. Carine co-ordinates the Earth Jurisprudence library http://www.gaiafoundation.org/earth-centred-law which shares Earth-centred laws, publications and community initiatives around the world. Earth Jurisprudence or Earth Law is a philosophy of law and governance systems which recognises Earth as the source of law, according to which humans must comply in order to maintain the health and integrity of the whole Earth Community. Inspired by indigenous peoples, Carine is committed to promoting and living Earth Jurisprudence as a way of life.
