Louise Kulbicki, Eradicating Ecocide Lawyer and Advocate, is driving for the implementation of a truly game changing law – to make Ecocide (extensive damage and destruction or loss of ecosystems) the fifth international Crime Against Peace.
Louise Kulbicki is a Lawyer and Advocate working with international barrister Polly Higgins, proposer and expert on the Law of Ecocide.
Louise graduated with a first class honours in Law and went on to study a Masters in Environmental Law and Policy at UCL. Since joining Polly’s team in January 2012, Louise has spoken on many platforms. Whilst visiting Rio De Janeiro for the Rio +20 Earth Summit, Louise ran a workshop on Ecocide at the official event for Major group children and youth. She also attended the UN’s World Congress on Justice, Law and Governance for Environmental Sustainability in Mangaratiba, Brazil and her propositions to make Ecocide a crime are reported in The Guardian.
Louise has just finished co-researching a groundbreaking report which unveils the history of the Law of Ecocide within the UN. The report is available here.
