Zara Desert, Sandy Andy and Christo Crustacean invite you to weekly exhibitions of beautiful sand sculpture on the Thames beach just by Gabriels Wharf and the National Theatre. I was cleaning up the beach as I walked along with my friend Elle from university who came to visit London for the day. We had a great time and our journey lead us to the river Thames. I couldn't believe all the rubbish I found there at the beach. Every inch of the beach is covered with packaging, rubber bands, plastic forks and cups, rubber handcloves, shoes, belts, umbrellas, metal bits... It's disgusting to find the beach in that condition. On my journey along the beach I pumped into Andy who on a beautiful sunny August bank holiday weekend created sand sculptures of rubish bins for recycling and sea creatures like an octabus and some signs to ask people to recycle. I thought it was one of the most amazing pieces of artwork I've seen for a long time that really struck my eye and I'd like to praise Andy and his friends for the wonderful work they're doing! Respect to you! We love you! Keep up the good work! We'll join you...
